Why I Do It

I am thankful you have found our restored One Another Living website dedicated to encouraging and challenging Sisters in Christ with the biblical principles found in the “one another” commands found in the New Testament and supported throughout the Old Testament.

Did You Know?

There are more than 100 references in the Bible about living as “one anothers”? And did you know that these principles of one another living are a primary way Jesus intended for us to be salt and light? Not through more programs or bigger choirs and bands or by marching in the streets will the world know you and I are sisters in Christ. One another living will be the beacon light within our circle of influence and to our neighbors and even to our enemies and compelling them to come and see Jesus!

Truly, these principles are needed in our lives now more than ever as we face a hostile and cancel culture world that hates anyone who stands for a biblical worldview. Which means they hate our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ first and foremost. Jesus warned His first disciples of this and it applies in our lives today.

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. John 15:19-19

Jesus understood this would be the status quo for the remaining timeline of Earth and earnestly wanted even His future disciples to be ready to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19), that He prayed for us personally as His future disciples.

John 17:20-21

I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those who also believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.(emphasis mine)

There it is: “that they may all be one”. That they may all live as one anothers. That they may all show the world Who Jesus actually is and the power of the Gospel by loving one another, forgiving one another, praying for one another…

A foundational one another command we all need to continually work on is “love one another”. I wrote a word by word study back in 2013 dissecting Jesus command to His disciples in John 13:34-35. Currently this book is out of print, but I am presenting the material on this website in blog post form.
