Don’t you wish you could shake like a dog. I mean, it seems therapeutic for them. After a dramatic experience, like a bath, they give themselves a good shake or two and poof…they are on their merry way. The experience is not erased, but any negative influence is shaken right off of little Joey.

Oh to be like that after the consecrated cleansing of confession to our loving Father. Yes, we sinned. Yes, we smelled. BUT God who is faithful and just to forgive us our sin cleanses us. When we lay our sin out before Him and agree with Him that the sin is stinky awful and soak in a good bath of His grace and mercy, we need to just shake off all the doubt…all the false guilt…and all the lies Satan tries to stick back on us! We need to go our merry way in Jesus and enjoy the full benefit of a life bought by His blood and resurrection!
